Description
1976 Harley-Davidson. Shovelhead.
One-of-a-kind little street ripper.
$14,000 USD.
Foot Clutch, Hand Shift. This machine is heavily modified. It is reliable. It is a blast to ride. It is for the experienced enthusiast. It is diminutive, it weighs a little over 410 pounds.
75.5 cu in Shovelhead. Factory cases and barrels. S&S Super Stock cylinder heads, hi flow valvetrain. Leineweber 3 series solid cam. Hi compression Wiseco pistons. Magneto ignition via external transformed Vertex with a Karata drive. Factory stroke. S&S super E with some trickery, uses Holley Main jets. Healthy and powerful.
4 speed ratchet trans, with 19 tooth “Bar Hopper” final Sprocket. Early Primo 1.5 belt drive with Idler bearing mid-plate. Clutch is a 5 pin hub with vented basket. Final Drive is a 51 tooth HHI Sprotor. Tsubaki 530 X ring chain. 16 spoke AMF cast rear wheel.
Front end is 2nd Gen GSXR trees and legs grafted to a H-D starhub on a 19″ laced wheel. Dropped clipons, modified to 1″ OD.
Frame is ChroMo three tube chassis modeled after the original MotorShop frame, that has been lightened and gusseted, then polished and finally MIL-SPEC Electroless Nickel plated.
Sprung saddle, rides great on the freeway. Agile and perfectly at home on city streets, rear brake works well. Modified DuoGlide center stand, but I typically just lean the bar ends on a wall or something.
I have ridden this bike on numerous 300 mile trips over the years. The seating position is aggressive and just about the time you need to stretch yourself out, the tank is low on fuel anyways. (About 60-70 miles to a tank.)
Chock full of little details, and most everything on the machine has at least two jobs. Aerospace quality fit and finish. Bike has been a faithful smile generator for over 10 years, and is in need for a new custodian to enjoy it so I move on to other things.
Odometer reads around 3500 miles. Contact me to set up an appointment to see it. Machine is located in Milwaukee, WI USA. Adam 414-640-3416 or email to: milkhaus.mke@gmail.com
