Here is an incredibly nice find…
1976 KAWASAKI KZ900 LTD TURBO
Very Low Miles: 5,934
One Owner Bike
ATP Turbo kit installed by the original Kawasaki Dealer in 1976
This bike runs excellent. It has super low miles on it and it feels just like a brand new KZ900 did in 1976. The clutch and transmission are smooth as silk. Everything is nice and tight. All of the electrics function properly. The wire harness has never been molested and it is still soft and pliable. Nothing is broken or cracked. The chrome is beautiful. Simply put, this is a very nice classic motorcycle.
Obviously the original owner took good care of this bike. Even though it has a turbo it is clear to see that the bike was never abused. It still has the original tires with hardly any wear at all, (If the buyer intends to ride this bike then for safety you should install new tires, they are 44 years old).
This bike has not been restored. It is a beautifully preserved machine in excellent condition. It was recently professionally serviced, inspected, cleaned and detailed. There is no dirt, dust or grime. There are no leaks anywhere on this bike. Nothing is broken. Everything works properly as it should.
Original? Not exactly. The original Kawasaki dealer took care of that when they installed the American Turbo Pak kit on this bike. However this bike still has its original Good Year Eagle tires, paint, seat, hand grips, endless chain, cables, Mullholland shocks, mirrors, documents, etc.. Essentially everything except the turbo kit is original to this bike as it came from the factory.
I have the original mirrors and they are included, they were removed for the photo shoot. I do not have the grab rail, the bike had a sissy bar when it came into the shop. The paint on top of the tank has some fading which is common, but overall this is a real beauty and presents very well with it’s original paint and chrome.
This bike has a low VIN number, it is number 348 off the assembly line. 1976 marked the first year for the KZ900 LTD and the LTD truly was a limited model as only 2000 were produced for the US market in this first year. The frame and engine VIN are correct for 1976 and properly match the original clear title.
FRAME VIN: KZ900B-500348
ENGINE VIN: Z1E115677
DATE CODES: All of the date coded parts on this bike are original and correct for 1976.
